Big Kitchen Warehouse
Growth Story

Making a high-consideration kitchen range easier to buy

Big Kitchen Warehouse serves trade and public customers across complete kitchens, doors, worktops, appliances, fittings and components. That breadth is commercially valuable, but it creates very different levels of knowledge and very different reasons for visiting the store.

We organised the Shopify experience around clearer product categories and the decisions customers make before buying. The opening desktop and mobile imagery shows a homepage that balances inspiration, direct product discovery and expert services. Customers can begin with a product, book a home measure or move towards a showroom conversation without being forced through the same route.

The catalogue view brings the full range online in a structure that is easier to browse and merchandise.

Launch Strategy

Joining Shopify with the showroom sales experience

The search, category and product imagery shows how different purchase intentions are supported deeper into the journey. A customer looking for a specific component can move quickly, while someone planning a larger kitchen can access the detail and reassurance needed before speaking to the team.

The store does not treat ecommerce and expert service as competing routes. Product pages, measurement calls to action and showroom guidance work together, allowing Shopify to support the complete retail operation rather than only small online transactions.

Website visits increased by 60%, online sales grew fourfold and the complete product range became available online.

For a kitchen retailer, conversion is not limited to an online transaction. The Shopify experience also has to build confidence and move higher-consideration customers towards the showroom and sales team.
